OUTSOURCING IN MEXICO
Outsourcing in Mexico is coming slowly but in a few years it will be a big deal. Mexico was indifferent to the concept “outsourcing” but in this year there has been amassive adoption of this concept for the private side that marks the management tendencies.
Nowadays T.I. department is becoming important to all companies, this is because Mexican companiesstill don’t have a vision that integrates technology. Outsourcing has been the answer for them; because they can reduce costs and have more qualified employees. Mexico is starting to change in technologyand with it the companies are growing up faster.
Outsourcing for Mexico has become a big advantage because from the American point of view Mexico as a third world country is a big player in theglobal market for IT outsourcing services.
“There is a very large, educated, young population. There are plenty of people available for the work, including skilled technical people,” says RaymondDuran, an account executive in the Juarez, Mexico, office of GECIS Americas, an outsourcing vendor that’s part of General Electric Co.
To many countries, Mexico is the next frontier. Mexico has themore graduates from IT each year than any other Latin American market. The Mexican culture and business community share many attributes with the U.S. and other Western markets.
Its professionaland technical employee base is young almost bilingual and educated. Mexico offers several advantages for outsourcing, I think the first but the most important advantage is the proximity that Mexico haswith all the countries. The communication its easy and obviously the cost is reduced.
